• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey guys,

nice to meet you all, and excited to be a part of this site.

I just bought a 98 te610 and im just getting to know it.
my knowledge is very limited and I'm struggling to just do
routine maintenance on the thing.

The biggest problem im having is that my bike seems really different from the manual.
one big difference being that the kick start is on the left.

Im already running into problems on my first oil change.
I took both drain bolts out and a bearing came out of one?
and I cant seem to find where the oil filter is.:excuseme:

Maybe my bike is a different model, or maybe I should be looking at a manual for a 97?

I'm sure a lot of you guys are laughing at my questions, but its all good.
Ill take all the ridicule as long as I can get some good advice.

Here are some pics of my engine. Any help is hugely appreciated.:)

Hi, my name is Neil Haslam from Derbyshire UK.

I have had a life long love of Husqvarna's from as early as i can remember.
i raced shoolboy mx in the early seventies on a husky cr 125.

now aged 48 i have just started a business with my best freind called 'ELSINORE VINTAGE HUSQVARNA', WE BUY AND SELL RESTORED/PROJECT HUSKY'S FROM THE 60'S & 70'S AS WELL AS manufacturing a range of retro clothing.

i am always looking for suitable bikes & parts from all over the world and hope to make lots of new contacts via this superb web site.

we both race our bikes and are currently restoring a pair of 1972 cr 250's for next season.

our ambition is to race the 2012 Elsinore gp on our 50th birthday year.

regards
neil

Hello everyone.
Here is my quick introduction. I am Stefan from Belgium.
I have owned about 10 off-road bikes, Japanese and European brands. One of them was a 1976 CR360. My current bike is a DR650. I am looking for a new bike and am thinking of a buying a new Husky. I tend to do a lot of research before making any purchase. That's how I ended up on this site.

Hello all,
Starting to get back into off road riding again after 10 year hiatus.
My main interest is in the left kickers from the 80's.
Great forum and great people here.

Thanks
