• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello all, just bought a 1979 wr 250 and will be making a winter project of restoring it. The first Husky I owned was a brand new 1974 wr 450 and many others after that. Currently I am riding a KTM 2-stroke in enduros and duel sports.(super senior) Look foward to a wealth of information on this site. Thanks in advance!

New Owner

Hello fellow Husky rider's, I just purchased a 2010 TE 450 and was looking for some tips or suggestion's on an exhaust. And I am also looking for places to buy husky part's and accessories. I like the shop I purchased my bike from but it is a bit of of drive and I am mechanically inclined.
Any way's, love the bike and i look forward to the forum.

Hello All, I'm currently a Yamaha rider, but with the new 2011 TE 310 coming out it is time to switch. Looking forward to tapping into good knowledge on this forum.

Hi, I currently ride a DRZSM, and KLX110L, and I'm looking for something that performs better in the woods. I already posted a thread with a few questions about the 310, but it hasn't shown up yet, so this is where I've ended up. Great forum:thumbsup:

Thanks!

Greetings Husky Riders - I'll admit that we mostly ride orange but have allowed a TC450 to creep into the garage in the past and now after reading all the positive feedback from AJAXAUTO regarding the CR 125, I just picked up a 06 CR 125 for my son. Looking forward to spending time on the site and learing about our newest addition in the garage. BRRAAAPPP!!!

Hello to all!

I've been in dirt bike hibernation for 25 years, now just coming out of the cave and found myself a nice clean '82 XC250 to go along with my sons first bike, although sadly his is not a Husky, but plenty of time to change that.

Planning on joining a couple of local clubs for group trail rides and some vintage racing.

My wife said I needed a hobby, if she only new that I found a mistress named Husky!

Hi all,

I'm Steve from the UK, just popping in to say hello :applause:

I just sold my road legal RM125 which I used for green laning and got a great deal on a brand spanking new 09 WR 300 :D

I've never owned a Husky before and am looking forward to doing a few enduro events in 2011.

Regards

Steve

Hi ther husky fans

Hi
I am Peter from the UK, living in Shropshire. Currently racing in our national Vets series on a modern RM250 smoker but have recently
taken the plunge and aquired a 1983 CR250 Husky. Its in ok condition
but needs the usuall service on shocks, engine etc. Any info on this
model would be greatfully recieved. Currently trying to source any
technical specifications that anyone may have. Things like oil levels
and weights in engine and forks etc

Hello,

Not a Husky owner; I ride a Versys. Found my way here because I saw member OlderHuskyRider had a nice offroad setup. Tires and engine guard especially. Looking for a nice engine guard.

Thanks,

Hello from UK , TE 310 owner

Hi ....

Oh no ! not yet another bike forum ;);):)

Had the TE310 since February and lots of other dirt bike and road bikes in 30 odd years of riding. Too old to race but too young to give up just yet. :D

TE 310 is great but the tempature sensor has just died, poor starting and the fan on all the time :banghead:
Seem to be always playing with the front fork settings to gte the ideal setting, nearly getting there
Do the 50mm Mazccohis have internal preload as they seem too soft on initail take up ....or could be too many pies :p
I will around get to pulling them a part soon

PS don't expect any decent gramma or spelling :)

Hi, Finally introducing myself after lurking for some time...

I'm currently restoring a 1980 WR250 that is street legal.

I also ride a 04 R1150GS Adventure, a KTM 300EXE, a Ducati M944, a couple Yamaha RD350's and a few other projects...

Great site!
