• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello Café Husky. I found this forum a few months ago while doing research on a 2000 Husqvarna WR250 I was thinking about buying. As you may have guessed by my avatar, I am now the very proud owner of a 2000 WR250. Let me just say that this forum had a lot to do with me buying my first husky after many years of only owning green or red dirt bikes if you know what I mean. Well, I never knew what I was missing because I think I'm in love with this old girl!

Wow that's clean. I wish my 02 looked that nice. Really love mine too. I have one of the last with the true WR trans and couldn't be happier. Enjoy:thumbsup:

I am an aussie and just joined this site, don't own a husky yet but I am looking to get back in to dirt bikes after a long break and would like to buy a 450/510

Hi everyone. New owner of a 2013 TE511 here. Just recently joined the site since I knew my KLR 650 was about to get replaced. My TE has about 5 miles on it so far. Even still, I know that I'll never go back to a bike like the KLR. At the dealer, I positioned the TE in my pickup bed by lifting the bike up! I wouldn't even try to do that with the KLR. I know the KLR is supposedly a reliable, easy to work on, dual-ish sport. But I hated every minute of off-road riding on that thing.

I think my first farkle on the TE will be one of those semi-cylindrical bar magnifiers placed over the digital readout. I'm hoping that'll help me see the tiny little numbers on the display, while under way.

howdy, long time KTM lover recently an 07 WR250 haver. Love the Husky and can't wait for the new gen crossovers...fingers crossed.

Back to my roots! I worked for Husky at their west-coast offices in San Diego from '77-'86 (till they got bought out by Cagiva-saddest day of my life:(). Anyway, this is my first Husky since then and I'm really enjoying it!

Thought I'd put some dirt miles on the thing this weekend. What better venue for a red-head, than some of the red dirt up in the Foresthill OHV Area? It rained Sat, so I waited till Sun. The trails were nice and tacky. The bike, even in stock form, out performed my expectations. This thing reminds me of riding my 29er mountain bike.

Take a run to Oak Hills (Hesperia area) to Zip-Ty and ask for Michael/Tinken....he's a dyed in the wool 511 freak.

http://www.ziptyracing.com/ Send a PM to "Tinken" and he will tell you when he's in the shop.

Maybe something like this..... http://goo.gl/maps/is2ZO or this http://goo.gl/maps/XsOha

and maybe explore some of those dirt roads in the Lucerne/Apple Valley area on the way. Gas up at Big Bear...100 miles is a stretch for a 511.

Thanks I will defiantly send him a pm and take a ride out there. So far I have 60 miles on the bike and defiantly want to put more on!!

Hi folks, just bought a new to me, 2006 TE250. Bike only has 700 miles on it and is in great shape. I need to work out a few bugs, so I'll be posting some questions soon.

This is a great site, very informative. Thanks to everyone who contributes.

I have one of those too!

Hello everyone,
I have finally found the HUSKY and I am really into it after reading so much of it.
Now, my dilemma is what to buy, as I am ready for the purchase!

I have been riding super-bikes, sports, v-rods, two-stroke motocross and now I own a ducati evo 848, but I want to come back to the motocross style as my second bike and i am not sure what would be best between the two:
TR650 STRADA
TR650 TERRA

I will be in highway riding for about 40% of the ime
Urban riding 40%
Dirt 20%

I would like you guys to give me your input, as I am to close on a deal by this weekend.
Thank you and best to all.

Just Picked up a new Terra and really like i only have around 100 miles on the thing and can't wait to open it up.

Good info here, hope to meet some new riding buddies.

Hi, wanted thank you all for the great posts on this forum. For a guy like me with his first Husky, and first Modern Race bike type 4-stroke bike this place has been priceless. I rode 2-stokes most of my life then after not riding for 12 years bought a few Suzuki DR's to put around and play it safe.

I bought my 2013 TE449 about 2 months ago. I love the bike but the last 2 weeks have been hell. A poorly run and in my opinion poorly built wire harness rubbed through and shorted out all over the place. Needless to say I've been running many feet Of new wire. Can't wait to get riding again, love the bike.

PS, anyone having strange electrical issues check your harness above the airbox.
