• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Welcome!

I had to look it up, I never realized I was 100 miles from San Jose i.e. 200 miles closer for the round trip to BMP... and I worked in the south bay for decades.
Coffee, it could be the roads to get to I5 that account for the extra distance. I know it was longer than I anticipated. Totally worth it to get the bike, and to meet some forum sponsors!
100 miles and a bunch of traffic...
Not a lot of folks cruising around at 4AM, but normal traffic hours would be insane. :)

Yes, I spent a few months in the San Ramon area a couple decades ago...even then it was tough to get anywhere from San Ramon up past Concord.

Hi All,
Bought a 2013 TE310R last June. First 4-stroke for me. Been riding YZ250s for almost 20 years. I have to say I am extremely happy with the performance of the little thumper once powered up. Great woods bike. I have been referencing this site for months and gotten alot of great information.

Hi there, new on here so I thought I would introduce my 2011 CR150 which I bought this weekend. The bike is a one owner and the third Husqvarna I have owned in the 30+ years of racing motocross. I plan to strip and rebuild completely over the winter and prepare for a H&H \ Enduro season next year with the odd motocross meeting thrown in.

Gave the bike a blast when I got home with it and really impressed. A real ripper and handles like a dream. Can't wait to get it dialled in on the track & in the woods.

Any suggestions on mods for this bike and how to dial in best for the woods? Don't know if needs anything as she flies but all suggestions welcome.

Cheers

Hi All, I was first introduced to Husqvarna as a teen in the 70's. Got smoked by one. Trying to get an early start on my bucket list by owning one. :)

Hi All, New member down here in New Zealand, Have a WR250 at present but my Husky owning day started back in 1977 with a CR360GP (Yes i am that old)

New here. Looking to purchase new FE501 when they're available. Love my 690R but really looking forward to the FE501.I know it's not the Italian or Swedish version; but it is a rebadged Husaberg/KTM. Which is fine for me as I own a KTM. I Have always loved Husky's, KTM's and Penton from way back in the 70's so this is pretty cool for me to possibly own both. Rather than another orange bike.

hi , i am new here . I bought a husky te570 form 2001 about 8months ago hadn't had many problems with it until recently i found out that the bike was leaking oil due to a crack in my ... (don't know the word but there was a big crack in that thing and it costed me alot of money :D ) while i was waiting for parts i decided to do a revision of the front suspension and a few other things that needed some attention... also i am from belgium ... and about the bike i love it and it's fun to drive :D

hello people, I am from Portugal and I have a husqvarna 510 SMR 2009 .. I love my bike, only this constantly broken and I'm a bit bored with these situations. This forum seems appropriate to ask questions, learn some things, and be able to help too.

Hi everyone just got a TE 310 2012 man what a awesome bike. I was reading some of the complaints about the oil sump plug, why can't the head breather pipe have a t piece in it and be the drain back as well, maybe put a one way valve in the return pipe to prevent blow back. Hope you can make out what I am trying to say.

Hi from Scotland. Im new on here, I've just bought a convereted 08/09 tc250? Fir use in local hare & hounds events and the occasional trail ride. My only previous Husqvarna experience was a 450SMR 5 years back. Other than that I've been a constant road rider 20 years.

Thought I'd put some dirt miles on the thing this weekend. What better venue for a red-head, than some of the red dirt up in the Foresthill OHV Area? It rained Sat, so I waited till Sun. The trails were nice and tacky. The bike, even in stock form, out performed my expectations. This thing reminds me of riding my 29er mountain bike.

Here's a pic of my bike on yesterday's ride. I'm just about two miles from where the pic above was taken. But, man is the scenery different :)

Hello All!

I do not currently own a Husqvarna, but I shall soon. I am putting a deal together to purchase an '05 TC450 flat tracker. I am hoping to get on the track a few times in 2014 with it. Owning a Husky and flat track racing will both be new to me. I have liked Husky's for a few years now, and had the chance to buy this same bike a couple of years ago. It just wasn't the right time for me then. I haven't raced yet either, but have followed the sport since 2009, and have wrenched on a couple of the bikes in the past three years. I am located in north central Iowa. No_Rice steered me to this forum.

Cheers!
Justin
