• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Old guy (64), This the 23rd bike I have owned since my first mini-bike when I was 14. I now have a new TR650 Terra. The farkling is just about done, I'm still awaiting my HDB Handguards and I am done. I now need the weather to cooperate.

Hi Coffee.
I'm Kevin from Groveport Ohio near Columbus.
I own a 2009 WR300 which I am in the process of rebuilding the top end on it right now.
The only problem is the 4 o rings which go on the exhaust port do not fit.
I have reordered from Halls and still the wrong size... will get it sorted out.

I also own an 2013 TE449.
Items that are done are:
Decatted the stock can.
Race map 2 reflash.
Power up jumper installed.
Motosportz lower footpegs.
Removed the charcoal canister and plugged the vent on the intake.
Rear fender/turn signals removed.

Items not done:
LED flush mount turn signals
JD tuner.
Voyager GPS.
Zipty oil catch can.
Hour meter.
Handlebar risers from Touratech.
Grab straps front/rear.

This is a great web site... Thank you.

I will post pictures but they are both torn down right now.
BTW I do most all of my riding at Longridge which is near Logan Ohio.
Tight single track.

G'day, I'm Peter. I've just bought a Strada, which will be gradually farkled into a long-distance all-track bike to explore some of Australia's remote roads on, with a swag on the back and a camera in the tankbag :)

A lifelong serious cyclist, MTB & road, in recent years I've added motorbikes to the mix.

New here and first time Husky owner. It also happens to be my first "real" 2-stroke. I live in between the Bay Area and sacramento and just picked up an 07 CR125 from Dan at MotoXotica.

First time husky and dual sport owner here. Picked up one of the last TE511's on New Years Eve. Been riding since. So much great info here! I'm really learning a lot about the ins and outs of the bike.

Hi Guys. Names Dan. I Hail from the Land down under. Been a Husky fan for a long time. Rode a Berg for a few years to get back into the game, Now I'm officially a member of the 500 club, with a 510.
Only been out the once thus far and finding this new machines very interesting :)

I have a Question for the U.S riders? Do you have, or is there a 10' TXE 510? I figure there is only the TXCs right?

Dan

hi, I recently purchased a Husqvarna te 450 07, I put it in the auto elect to get an alcohol interlock installed. its meant to just be hooked up to the ignition. they rang me and said it needs a new ecu, trying to tell me it must have been on the way out, before I gave it to them it started first go every time no choke. I think they might have put a pulse through it and fried it, does this sound correct? any feedback would be much appreciated

Hi all, I'm from Spain and just bought my first Husky, a used WR300 from 2010. I'm coming from a Yamaha WR480F 2008 and I hope the WR300 will give me similar great feelings, I like the lower weight and wanted to return to the 2 smokes. No fan of the Orange Bikes and already had a GasGas EC300 befor the Yami, so I decided to try out the real Huskys before they disappear in favor of the new White-KTMs :(

That's all, I hope I can contribute to something and find some useful info in this forum :)
