• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Hey, jellyrug! Welcome to CafeHusky:thumbsup:

Is that a new Busa next to your 610?

WoodsChick

Thanks Woodschick, nice forum here, good Husky folks.:applause:

Good job Coffee for getting this going.

Yep that is a 09 Busa, I managed to put 32 miles on her and another 200 miles on the Husky before again flying 6,000 miles away on business.:banghead: Back in May.

Hi, I'm from Newcastle in England and ride an '06 SM610. I've long been on Supermotojunkie and TT and found this so I thought I'd join up here as well.....

It's good that there's finally a thread totally dedicated to the 610. Hoping to contribute and learn as much as possible on here! Stay safe everyone!!

32 miles on the Busa? What did that take, about .43 seconds?
Man, that's brutal having to leave 2 brand new bikes in the garage for a few months.

If you need someone to come on over and blow the dust off of them every now and again...:D

First post, been a lurker for a while. I may pick up an 08 TE 510 and sell my KTM 450sxf from Derby Cycles in Shepardsville, KY. Has anyone ever dealt with them.

Thank you

Hi,

New to the site - my name is Matt and I live in the Medina, Ohio area . . . I am 27 yrs old and am new to bikes - riding a 2008 TE 250 and lovin it!!! Thanks for the great site:thumbsup:

Hi guys & gals, I'm living in Melbourne Australia, but I'm a kiwi (New Zealand) that got pissed in pub in London and met a aussie chick (now the lovely wife). Hence the change of country.

Looking forward to chatting with yas as I no nothing about Huskies, other than I now own one with 293 km's on the clock. I picked up my 08 TE510 yesterday ands its in bits already. Lucky as I found minimal bearing grease in the suspension linkages and wheel bearings doh:

Hello!

Hello! I'm a regular lurker on TT and ADV rider. That's how I found my way here.

I have an 06 TE 610 which is my first dirt bike. I've beat that thing to death! and while its needed some repairs, it never left me stranded. I'm more into to dual sporting for where it can take me rather than pushing my limits. I guess that makes me something of a plodder, think Columbo versus Starsky & Hutch.

Had an ankle fracture on Aug 15 of this year which has healed up nicely. My new dirt boots should be in the mail. I am an avid street rider as well.

I signed up for the upcoming Baja ride, and look forward to getting back in the dirt.

Nice forum for huskys. Found a link on TT, while searching for info on the new models. Just about to pull the trigger on a new TE250 from George, have known him for about 10 years.

Rode KM with Woodschic and Eric a few years ago, camped out with them. Blown away to find them here. How cool is that??

Started riding about 30 years ago, on again - off again. Been about 4 years since I sold my GG EC250. Camping trip over the holidays got me on a WR250 for about 50mi and had a blast. So one thing led to another and when I found out what Husky was building now I went bananas! Gotta git me one of those!!

Thanks and see you out there.

Greetings, I'm in Wiltshire, England. I have a TE510 Centennial (in my lounge), anyone else on here have one (Centennial that is, not a lounge!)? There are 100 of us out there on the planet some where!

Hi, hahmule! Welcome to CafeHusky:cheers: I, too, have been somewhat of a Columbo on my 610 after a nasty ankle fracture last June, and I'm an everyday street rider:thumbsup:

Hopefully I'll get to be either Starsky or Hutch this weekend:D

Another noob from the heartland of the USA. I'm a long time racer who just bought a new 07 WR 250 and will be looking for setup tips. I also own several vintage Huskys and raced Huskys back in the 70's and 80's.

So that's why Razor wants a wr250 too......:D
