• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi all,

I just found out about this Husky forum. Looks great.
I am not the youngest rider anymore but am still active in enduro and ride all saturdays from 9-14h in a fantastic but not the easiest area, the NE of Spain. I started relatively late doing off-road / enduro but find it a fantastic sport to release me from all daily problems and stress after a hard week at work. It's just impossible to think in anything else ten riding, the slightest mistake and you are of track and against a tree or rock, or worse. Ocassionally I particpate in enduro races, but just for fun, at my age and in my class (+50 veterans) there is little to win and alot to loose. That became clear last year when crossing a river in the mountains we had to get on some rocks and I slipped on ythe edge whic was covered with moose, tearing up my knee ligaments and damagin them meniscus. However I am back onthe bike. I started racing on a VOR 503 but soon found out that that bike was too much for me. Too powerfull and not really good for single goat tracks and trail like climbing. Additionally it had only a ick starter (forward push!) and it could be started only in neutral, exhausting if you are on a steep slope and just capable not too thumble down. So I bought a Husky TE 250 in 2005 and am very happy with it. Only mods so far are a CRD perimetral radiator guard, a Silmotor full titanium exhaust system and an Athena 310 cilinder kit. Happy with all these mods.
I am a better technician then a ider so most probably you can find me around in the technical forum.

Regards,
Crono

Hi All,

Well I've been guilty of lurking and not participating for way too long, it's just time for that to end!
Thanks to you Coffee for all of your hard work & efforts here. You've really developed a quality experience for us Husky-junkies

Thanks also to the Moderator(s) for your dedication as well :applause:

I live in Southern California and have been riding non-competitive dirt (as well as a little street) most of my life. I ride as often as a busy family man can. I have to say that, as of this last holiday season, I've had the pleasure of getting my 7-year old twin boys into the sport as well. I'm hoping that motorcycles, and all of the great stuff that goes along with the lifestyle, is something that we can all enjoy for a very long time to come

My '06 TE450 Husky is my first really top-notch ride. I bought this baby slightly used in early '06 and it still brings a big smile to my face every time I see it

So cheers to all of you and I'll try to add some positive input to this forum as well.

Jeff

Welcome to CafeHusky, Jeff, and thanks for coming out of lurker mode:applause:

Congrats on getting your twins involved in bikes:thumbsup: I've been seeing it for years, and I think dirtbiking and camping are some of the best things you can do to protect the cohesiveness of a family.

Hello All,

Just joined the site. My wife and I just brought home two SM 610s. ('08)
We have been riding sport bikes for the past 18 years and decided to go the SM route after recently acquiring dual sports and having a blast on those bikes. I just did two 200+ mile days on mine breaking it in around Palomar and North San Diego county. I love the bike. It has notched the riding "fun" factor up.

First impression: handles great, fuels nice and sounds good. All I need for now is a better seat and get the gearing higher.

Look forward to reading and contributing to the forum.

gday everyone just been told about this site today. i live in n.s.w. australia been riding an 05 TE 510 for 2 yrs and its in the middle of a complete rebuild (just done a bigend bearing) new wossner piston going in and big end and new conrod while its down getting a nice port job done from a reputable tuner supposed to be about 7 to 8 hp , and 25 % more torque improvement, it went before i cant wait to get it back together and se how good it goes . good to see a site dealing in my bike and hope to talk to you all soon to see how the rest of the world loves huskys. cheers

Hello all, Great site you have here. Been lurking around for awhile and decided it was time to join this great community. I haven't been on a Husky since the late seventy's but am picking up an 07 WR125 this week to get back in the fold.

Hi Dan,
keep it sunny side up dude****************************************!;):applause:
Got a new lid yet?

Hi from Málaga

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. Actually I own a Ktm 950 Adv, a really great bike but a littel heavy for hard offroad although it's a very succesfull off-road bike.

My desire to this year is a dual sport signgle cilinder off-road bike, and I think than husqvarna 610 te is one of the best options. I'm thinking in bmw challenger and ktm 690 adv (near future) too, buy my heard is with husky 610, I love it :)

Beers for all,

Yep, I'm a new kid on the block. An old dirtbiker from southern Nevada. Now displace to Houston, Texas. The dust taste different in Texas :D

Hey everyone! Just signed up, and while I do not currently have a husky, I have long respected their reputation, and heritage. I have always wanted a Husqvarna, and now that I have a dealer in my backyard I look forward to purchasing one in the near future!

G'Day All

What a great sight, I'm still new so I have got to familiarise myself with the workings of the site.

Just bought myself an 08 TE450 with 600klms on the clock (21 hrs). Prior to that i was riding an 06 TE450. If anyone can instruct me on what may be important to attend to on an 2008 TE450m it would be much appreciated.

Look forward to further communication !!!

This site is a bit different, and many seem to like it here. Actually much different in a few respects - some of the factory people post occasionally for instance.

Bunch of people from around the globe reading it. Got some great people.

Start up a thread in the 4stroke section and ask about your 2008 TE450
