• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Hey everyone! Just signed up, and while I do not currently have a husky, I have long respected their reputation, and heritage. I have always wanted a Husqvarna, and now that I have a dealer in my backyard I look forward to purchasing one in the near future!

It's about time you signed up DoctorDemento, all your lurking around was making me nervous

Ok everyone, Erik (DoctorDemento) is my riding buddy, and regardless of my superior equipment, and the fact that he has 40 pounds on me, he is still considerably faster on the trail. He does however take a peek over his shoulder once in a while, to make sure I'm still there, or to make sure I'm not catching up, not sure which, and he waits for me at trail crossings, or hes just resting, one of the two :D

Welcome aboard Doctor!

Welcome aboard. NY has some great places to strecth the Husky's legs, several of our riders are from you're neck of the woods. You'll probably find this forum a bit different than most, hopefully you'll like it better. Feel free to post some pics of you're bike and jump in and get to know every one.

NEW txc owner

I just purchased an 08 250 txc (green sticker...yes!) and look forward to getting familiar with the husky brand. I've heard good things.

I also own a KTM 250sxf and 400 lc4e (which i'm trying to sell).

Hi, Steve here from central New Jersey. Just brought home my new TE310 last week. I have been lurking here for awhile reading up on the new Husky's. The last Husky's I owned were an 85 WR250 and a 87 WR430. Looking foward to hitting the dual sport runs and the occasional enduro with this bike. I have been riding jap bikes for the past few years with the most recent being a yz250f.

Welcome aboard BSE340, we will looking forward to seeing the pics. I had a 83 XC 250 and it was one of my favorite all around bikes. Even by todays standards they are still plenty fast and handle well.

Wr390

Hey I have a 1980 WR390. I love this bike so much power and rides like a newer monoshock even with some pretty worn springs on the back. It is in great shape and runs great except I can hear some ring noise. Anyone know of someone that does quality bore jobs that I could send the jug to? I will add a pic to my profile of the bike later. I have 2 tanks, one old one painted yellow that I use for riding and one for show that was professional redone many years ago. I would venture to say that this redone tank is the nicest in the world. Wait for the pics

Welcome to the Cafe. You'll find that we have a really great bunch of guys in the vintage forum. I had a early '80's XC 250 and it was one of the bikes that I wish I had never got rid of actually I wish I had never got rid of any of my Huskys).

Welcome aboard. Anxious to see that show quality tank. I'm not to familiar with the shops in you're area but if none of our East coast guys have any recomendations you can allways ship it out to W.coast, we have lots of good places to have the jug redone.

Hello all,
Just became the proud owner of an 06 TE510 35hrs and 700 mi.
Been riding KTM 2 strokes for about 5 yrs. have enjoyed them but it's time for a change. I plan to dual sport and trail ride now and leave the enduro/hare scrambles to the tougher guys. A number of my friends have had Huskys lately and they seem reliable and capable. This 510 seems like it will fit the bill for me.Hope to learn more about care and feeding of this beast.

Hello all. Good to see a great husky site and all the gunsite bikes!!!

I live in a small town named Lillooet, in the interior of B.C.
I've been riding dirtbikes for 30 years (I'm 35)
My last 2 bikes have been huskys , 2000 te610 and 04 te510.

G'day all,

Just got my first Husky yesterday (09 TE510) after owning an XR600 for the last fifteen years. Already finding this site very useful, Thanks guys!! Hopefully I will actually get some time to ride it soon, cos it looks too good just sitting in my shed. A little bit more customising and I will get some pics up.
Is there many others from Oz on here?

Hi everyone. New member form CT. Just entered the Husky world myself with a new '09 TE310. Stumbled across this site via another.
This is my first Husky ever, and it's a beautiful machine. Love just looking at it. Unfortunatly, I'm actually having some issues with mine already includng the dealer that sold it to me, but that's another story for another thread. Hopefully someone here can help me out.
Thanks.
