• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hello,

New to the site, and to Husky bikes... Spent the last 4 years riding an '03 Husaberg. Decided it was a good time to switch back to 2-strokes...

Hello-

My Name is Clark Gristina. Glad to find this site. I was a Husky support rider in the late 70s/early 80s in SERA Enduros in the deep South.

I am currently restoring an 83 250 XC, and also have an 81 250WR that needs to be restored.

Look forward to getting to know Y'all.

Just sayin hey hey

Im a proud owner of a new 09 510 smr. I had a 08 last year and the flywheel fell of and motor gernaded at 900 miles. Bummer I know, so it sat at dealer almost a year. One day a guy from husky in New Jersey calls and says hey you have been so patient. How bout we just give you a 09. What do you say to that but OK. Less than two weeks later BAM this 09 I like better than the 08 witch I loved. DB

Hello:

I live in Kingman Arizona and have loved motorcycles all my life I have the Husky Te 450 08, Ducati Hypermotard 08, Harley Davidson Road Glide 06, Buell S1 Lighting 97 and a old Harley Baja 100 that needs some TLC. I like these forums to see what other people have to say about there motorcycles and some of the Modifacations they have done. But I do think that some people get to obsessed with all the latest and greatest gadgets. Especially on the Ducati forum. But any way if there is anybody near the Kingman area and need some one to go ride with let me know. Thanks:applause:

Ooooh, a Harley Baja. Hope you get it fixed up nice. The only thing that could be as good would be a Kawi Centurian. I would like to have either.:D Welcome.

Hi I'm Mike. Ive been lurking for awhile and decided it's time to join. I bought a TE-250 back in 06'. I had been looking for a replacement for my 86' KDX200 (still have it), and this is just about perfect. It's been everywhere from nasty single track, desert, Nor Cal snow runs, and I even commuted to work on it one day down I-15 for 20 miles (my daughter needed to borrow my truck) I'm also very fortunate to live in the center of the Husky universe. Ron Bishop and MotoForza are both minutes away, GP and Malcolms a little farther, and of course George has always taken to time to answer my questions (the skid plate and vent tube filter are awesome). I've met a couple of you folks out at McCain Valley and Corral Cyn and am looking forward to meeting some more of you.

Later

Mike

Hi Everyone!

I live in western North Carolina and currently ride a 620 Multistrada and a DRZ400s. I'm spending more and more time riding on the forest service roads and trails here, so I'm trying to learn more about the 610's. I've always liked Huskys; the guy who tought me to ride motocross way back in 1972 had a husky 250. This looks like a great site and I look forward to being part of it. Thanks!
