• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

When men were men...

I had and still have my original Bell Star. The padding is gone, just can't stand to throw it out. I had the helmet before the bike and have always had full face helmets. Feel naked with anything else on.

But don't forget about the 250 Thunderdog**************************************** That was actually my first enduro bike before I got my first Husky......

How the heck did I miss that one. Buddies dad had all of them in his garage in Oregon. New what they were but was not paying attention at the time. Rode the 100 a lot.

Thunderdog huh? Looks like a suzuki motor and Honda shocks with a can-am tank. Everyone back in the day had that fender at one point :>)

Its the helmet ... It hides your beauty ...

Say hi to Irene for me when you see her next >)
I haven't seen Irene since high school, when she ran off to marry the love of her life in Oregon. She is still with her husband of all those years, and still in Oregon. Just about three years ago, I joined Facebook, and she found me right away, so we say "hi" to one another quite often these days. Funny thing was that when she left for Oregon, she said she'd had enough of dirt bike racing, would never be on a bike again, and was looking forward to the time that she and her husband would be starting a family. Karma has a funny way of catching up with people though, and she had two daughters who raced motocross, and now has grandsons who ride dirt bikes. In fact, Irene rode dirt bikes up until a few years ago, when a crash broke her arm in several places. That's when she finally really quit for good.

That Kawi GUY is DirtDame,
Oh but this is great, we finally found out who "Racer X" is!!! Its DirtDame (Mimi). Now we just need to find out who The Stig is.

DD beat me to it.

The original Bell Star was around back then, but few people liked to wear them at that time. I had one, but peripheral vision, ventilation and overall comfort were not so great. Also, they weren't set up for anything other than a face shield. I couldn't wait to get a Bell Magnum and a Jofa mouth guard!

And don't forget about how the broke collarbones. I'll never forget.
