• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here, I'm pretty sure High-Point boots, KTM pants and a Husky Jersey.

But getting back to some original subject matter...Open face helmet with the add-on plastic mouth guard. It was some bright color; I painted the guard and a stripe around the helmet black.

Hare Scramble somewhere up in the coal region of Pa...and yes, I was spanking a 1 year old '81 KTM 175. Too bad you can't see the engine; the fins were huge...looked like a 500!

Iron jaw perhaps?

This is me in 78, on my YZ125. I put the Iron jaw on my helmet after a collision between the bars and my face that put my teeth through the skin below my lip. 12 stitches, and it's still a nice scar.

For those of you who are familiar with the GTA, this is Centennial park in Mississauga. It looks a little different today.
Wish I still had half of that hair.

I have a friend that lives in Boise that said thats changing fast. He lived in Kaspell and its already like this in parts of Montana apparantly. Especially Kalispell area. Sucks

You are within 30 - 45 minutes of a spot to ride in Boise still... My wife is from Cola Falls (outside of Kalispell) I always wanted to ride around there.. thats too bad

hahaha another "right-side start" maico. i installed my comp release to try and stave the snappge. all it did was make it easier to push start hahaha. and after i dumped that breaker ingition it'd fire right up first kick. i started kicking it with the kill button on and with the lectron and the motoplat it'd fire right up and stopped snapping knuckles. i like the yellow bike you still have it? that'd make a nice project not many left. i may still have parts sources for a lot of goodies for those.

and thanks to the board for not making fun of my Magnum PI shorts....cuz im not in the mood fer slappin suckers today...:p
