  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc WR 360 Mods tips n tricks

I just loved the lack of surging under cinstant throttle in traffic.. It was gone! Ment i can ride along street without reving to clear the pulsing.

Humm if i had that sorta money ohmygawd i probably just sling ohlins on all round.
Full rebuilds should be done if your board have the money and its broken.
Is the 95 the same cylinder as 93?? If so i know why your keeping it.

LoL, l wish l had the cash to drop ohlins on to her but the sad truth is this will be a long term rebuild!!!
It's got a weeping tranny seal hence the full rebuild, whilst l have to pull the thing apart might as well as replace all warn bits.

Now what be really grouse is to find a blown Austrian Husky TE250 or 300 and transplant the motor in that...with a hydro clutch of course!!

Am working on hydro clutch atmoment, basically using cable untill after the bend then drop a tube and a nipple like 2" from it make a nipple to nipple adaptor from stainless tube slide it in place hook the cable over clutch actuator. Am cheap so using hayes nine hydro brake to actuate a chinese slave cylinder. Should work.

You say worn i did full rebuild the only thing that truly was toast was the conrods big end the hardening had rot on it. I replaced mains with c3 items as the c4 6305's are ££
I did bearings as a matter of course most didnt need it tho, the nup 205 bearing was most expencive was quoted £70 but got it off line for £30 skf too. Theres stockists of gaskets and athena do seal kits for good money.
Im sure youve got it under control tho any q's im sure most will help failing that i will feed you mis information.

Well i stumbled upon some gold, everyoe rates magura but theres an after market company called Hebo that make a hydro clutch that has the end finished in cable not stainless wire sooo it will go around corners.image.jpg
Only issue i have is finding one online.

whoever put that head on couldnt find copper washers i guess.
sounds like a good lead, hope you can figure it out

was that bloke the engineer for:thumbsdown: GG & ktm 2t estarts?

says the bloke with zip ties & roofing screws holding his bikes plastics on:o

Stupid question (more lazy really)...but does the WR250 reed block fit the 360? I've actually never swapped them over to check even though l own both (told ya l was lazy) and thought the bolt holes where different or was it the actual diameter?

I dont think they do i thought the 1999 250 i had was narrower by ten mill...
But it was only a breif look.
