WELL GUYS PLANNED ON BEING THERE ,STILL AT WORK AND GOING JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME IN A DAY,MAYBE NEXT TIME ,billf
It was great to meet so many of you on Friday. Unfortunately the motorhome had electrical problems in the middle of the night. A trip to town at o-dark-thirty to try to repair things turned into a return home shortly thereafter. Bother. I hope you all had fun the rest of the weekend.
Sorry to hear that. We never made it out to camp 2 yesterday, so I didn't get the opportunity to meet you.
Yea, we were looking for you too. I am sure we will find another time to do some riding. Maybe up in Gifford Pinchot where Kelly could show some of us 'southerners' around.
great time! Just rolled back into town.. too beat to post pics . But really enjoyed meeting everybody.
Had a great time and was really cool to hang out with all of those I got to meet! Much too dusty to pull the camera out on the trail but here are a few on our ride to Paulina peak. East lake. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/ehusk/IMG_1542-2.jpg Paulina Peak. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/ehusk/IMG_1548-2.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/ehusk/IMG_1547-2.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/ehusk/IMG_1545-2.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg246/ehusk/IMG_1549-2.jpg Thanks to all!
Dustsucker, thanks for your help, sir! Hope you found what I left in the same location? Didn't get to meet you in all the chaos, hopefully next time.
Home safe and sound, as I predicted I was the WAY better rider than woodschick & Kelly. No drops this weekend, but man I had a gazillion close calls That place was amazing, like riding on an olympic bobsled run Unfortunately there were a couple head-on's and a few broken bones, Heal quick guys! MUCHO GRACIAS to ioneater for his amazing generosity and hospitality Without his help I wouldn't have been able to attend. THe downside is that now I want a 510 AND a txc250
I'm home! Eric and I had a great time! The best part was meeting (almost) everyone face to face, and the riding wasn't too bad, either We just might have to do this in NorCal sometime WoodsChick
Pfft...you're just a scaredy cat, that's all Man up like SepticSceptic did and ride that 610 down here! It was a barrel o' fun meeting you, xymotic! I take back all those things I said about you WoodsChick
Yeah well, I may be having 8 months of broken 610 like Septic did if I can't figure out what's wrong with the thing.
I didn't take my camera out on the trails as it was incredibly dusty, but I did get a few photos here and there around camp. Sure wish I'd taken more... BrandonR... DustSucker... The man, the legend...Les in the flesh... Eric turning this event into a very expensive trip Uh-oh...this trip could get even more expensive-er! (Thanks a ton for the ride, TROFFER88!) The SepticSkeptic... Kelly grabbing some breakfast so generously provided by Ioneater... xymotic getting ready to dominate on the trails... Les totally believing everything Sandman is saying... lineman12345678 and Kelly facing off... I gotta go to bed. I'll post up a few more tomorrow. G'night! :snore: SleepyChick
Went for a ride with this motley crew-Tony, Chad, TROFFER88, Eric... Reppin' the Euro bikes with 2 Huskys, a Husaberg and a GasGas... We made Tony and his lowly Honda wait off to the side of the trail... Me and my long-lost twin Walt (I'm the one not wearing the Chick Magnet glasses)... But wait! There's more! Kevin_TE250 was getting a little jealous about all that huggin' going on and decided to get a little for himself... Walt astride his very sweet machine. I can't believe he refused my offer to trade my KTM 450 for it... My friend Cindi from Lapine... (I know, I know...but I like her anyway ) Ahh, the quest continues, this time with Cindi's help... Hey! Who's that old man working on my bike?? Not a good idea to drop these things in the pumice-like sand... Aww...holding hands on the trail...how sweet! Mmm...Robert's race gas smells good to me I knew I shouldn't have let Cindi hold my camera WoodsChick
It was a pleasure meeting some of you. I wanted to spend more time getting to know everyone and riding, but my wife was none too please about her share of babysitting duty and the fact I spent Sat. in the hospital. Still had a good time though! Real sorry to Ryan for what happened. I feel terrible for you man and I hope you get to go home soon. Many thanks to his brother and crew for evac'ing us out of there! And thanks to everyone else whom stopped and helped! It made a bad situation end as smoothly as possible. Hope you're feeling alright too Kelly. I think that trail is cursed
