Looks like a Wolfman Enduro tank bag? Same one I have. I attached my straps to a piece of the frame under my seat and ran them to the front. When I attach the seat the clips poke up right next to where they need to be. No rubbing my beautiful still-shiny red plastic I'll get a photo sometime in the next 2 days. Leaving in a few minutes to take the Terra on its first camping trip
Thanks WC.. I asked because I just ordered a wolfman enduro bag. I like the way that looks on the bike. Was worried that it may be too big.. Looks just right though.. Have a great trip!
Wolfman enduro tankbag. I like the handguards real well, I kept the bar end weights and the Acerbis guards fit up fine on the stock bars. I think it was the first time I ever installed any without using a vise and bfh. I did drill out the weights and drill and tap the bars for 8mm.
These pics are from me and Bullitman281's ill-fated attempt at riding the US/MX border road from El Paso, TX to San Diego, CA. linky: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=872817
I'd been putting off attaching my Wolfman Enduro tankbag to my Terra because I wanted to keep the plastic shiny for as long as possible. Besides, I didn't really need it on there til last weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tankbag doesn't even touch the shiny red parts on top of the tank. It sits entirely on the black part I attached the straps to a cross member of the frame under the seat and ran them to the front. The seat snicked into place with no issue, and the straps were the perfect length. Sorry for the semi-funky phone photos, but it's all I got... Kind of a funky angle on this one but you get the idea...
Are those Ortlieb panniers on your bike? They look a little like the ones I just ordered but are somewhat different.
Here was mine last weekend when I took a 3 day trip from Kansas City, down to through Kansas and into Oklahoma, over through Arkansas, then up through Missouri to get back home. Roughly 1200 miles over 3 days. The duffel looks huge in this picture, but it's just the angle of it. It's a 30L dry duffel I found off Amazon for a good price, it has my tent, sleeping pad, towel, sheet. Then the bags have food, clothes, camp stove, sleeping bag, tools, and other random stuff. And yes, I found the only place I had for my shoes was to strap them on top my saddle bags. For some reason I never considered how much they'd suck to haul.
I have the same tankbag. There's a pic in post #85 in this thread. The wolfman stuff is really great. I have taken no care of the paintwork on my bike whatsover in the fitting of my tankbag but I can assure you that there is no paint/panel damage whatsoever after a couple of thousand km of use.
I thought that was what the top of the saddle bags were for. My Keens worked out great, as shown here.
Right on! I've put lots of miles on my 610 with the tank bag straps going across my plastic panels and it scratched them up pretty good. I don't really care, though, since the 610 is pretty much a dirt bike for me
Ok i started out with an old rack i made for another bike. then added the shelf brackets. and a some spray paint.
