• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Husqvarna line

Its starting. WTF? Right off the accessory site. Let the craziness begin.

Uh, oh! Dirt Rider says Husqvarna is the premium brand? Wonder, think we can get 7 year financing so payment looks like the old days?

Just read this post elsewhere.

Hope these bikes aren't over $10k. Typpy likes Husky's but not at that price. A member said they were like $13,000 in Sweden. What does that convert to in us dollars. Might be why we have to raise debt ceiling?

I think that's already converted because 13k Krona is only about two grand in US dollars. If they are 13,000 Krona I'm going to need a much bigger garage.

Here is a question for the Husky purists. No criticism just a question.

If Husky was snagged up by Cagiva and moved out of the country but the brains stayed and continued as Husaberg... Then Husky was gobbled by BMW and diluted even more... Then some guy buys Husa to help produce better KTMs... and finally he PERSONALLY buys Husky... puts the Husa designed product BACK in the box and puts the Husky name back on the box... HOW EXACTLY IS THAT SO WRONG ?

Except for hate of anything orange it sounds like a pefect reunification of the talent and the logo that was Husqvarna in the first place.

The original husaberg stuff is also all gone, the original husky stuff is all gone. The original stuff did actually last longer at husqvarna than at husaberg though. Nothing wrong with it at all other then the huge price increase we are going to see and the hammer durability of the husky 2 strokes will be missed.

If Maico or CZ had taken out Husky instead of Cagiva....then the sentiments would have been similar on that round. A major goal of Husqvarna was to beat KTM, and instead KTM has assimilated Husqvarna/joined forces. Cagiva was never a powerhouse in the offroad world, so Im sure it didnt feel the same way to most people.

That said, its a new day and we move forward ......

They did win a lot of world enduro championships and even a world MX title as well.

Here's a blurb from DirtRiders test about the new Husqvarna FE350....

"Weight-wise, the FE 350 is tad more top-heavy than the FE 250, and it takes an increased amount of effort to get the bike to go where you want. More than once I felt as though I had to really muscle the bike to get it into the right line, though this is a sacrifice made for excellent straight-line stability with no odd deflection from the front tire."

...muscle the bike... !?!?!?

I've never read such words about the bike it replaced! (TE310)

I can promise You, the new huskys is not going to Cost 13000 kronor, something more like 80 000- 90 000 kronor;-)

They were selling original Husky stuff at Mid-Ohio for half price,it was all dirt cheap.

One of the beauties of the Te310 was it's agility. the feeling you were riding a light bike which translates to a lot more fun and versatility. I am getting up in age and still have the desire to ride in the woods, this bike allows me to do that with more confidence. I am very happy with my 310 especially after owning a DRZ400. I just hope as time goes on we see a more unique Husqvarna brand instead of a KTM with the Husky logo on it.

After playing on my 13 txc 310 last night and reading the dirt rider review of the 350.

That baby just rips/wheelies and you can just throw it around/never wears you out.

Id be grabbing a 110 anniv or 13 model as fast as u can, cause I think there is going to be some sticker shock?

Maybe I will just get the white plastic kit, make some blue/yellow graphics this winter.

Take this for what's it worth but I have a 2014 KTM 350EXC-F that I bought a couple of months ago & it's anything but top heavy or needs to be muscled. I had a 2012 Husky TE310 which was a really nice bike so I have some time on both & the KTM feels lighter & more nimble. I've bought & owned a lot of dirt bikes thru out the years & imho the 350EXC-F is the best off road bike I've ever ridden so I think all your worries about the new Huskies are unfounded but hey what fits me may not necessarily fit the other guy but if I was you guys I'd grab a Husky 350 asap.

The 350 KTM sold out like hot cake here in South Africa --- The 300 two smoke KTM.s are standing on the floor this year --last year they were all pre-sold --How things change ---One good bike swings sales dramatically
