• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Husqvarna line

Lets focus on the threads title: 2014 Husqvarna line

I'm not in a terribly good mood at the moment, I've been up since 2am because of this thread (over 8 hours ago). While I did try not to do too much, I did delete a few things.

From the pictures someone posted of the berg vs 2014 husky, is it possible the swing arm is a bit shorter on the Husky?
The wheel base on the 2014 Husky FE 350 is 1,482±10 mm. The same as the Husaberg FE 350, and the KTM 350 EXC-F. The wheel base on the 2014 Husky FC 350 is 1,495±10 mm. That's the same as the KTM 350 SX-F and the 350 XC-F. Im not sure if they are making two different swing arms now or if the difference is through chain adjustment. Part numbers would answer your question better.

the SX and XC are linkage with different swing arms and frames than the PDS bikes

I totally understand, I feel the same way, really. I was P.O.'d about all this, and I'm still not crazy about it, but there's nothing I can do about it either. So, I either have to jump ship or eat the crow pie. So, I can go Beta, Sherco, or now, a typeone Husky.
Yea it's all sad to me. I guess if you lose your kickstart lever you can steal one from a ktm at the next reset. LOL. It kills me to go another direction and I won't for some time. But unless I'm hypnotized and somehow made to forget how much I have disliked KTM and talked my stuff. I will NEVER own a Borganite........................... My god NO one I know would ever ever let me live it down anyway**************************************** It's all good if I run one over hec all it is is a Husqvarna crown sidecase on a Ktm with linkage****************************************

I know how strongly you feel about this, and it is sad that the brand has moved away from the Italian factory, especially for the workers there. You do have plenty of options to stick with the Italian bikes for many years to come, although they would not be new bikes.

I do have a request for you, could you continue to try not to keep complaining about what has already happened (I really can tell you are trying)? I'm getting a lot of input on how this site is becoming less desirable to visit with the constant complaining about what has already happened, which no one can do anything about.

Norm, He said he would push the new bike right into your new van!

Got why he is holding brake......but clutch? Is it running? In gear? owns the bikes but doesn't kow much about them?

Just for interest sake what is happening on the South African front--

Been talking to a few race teams one that has been using KTM's for the last few years that sponsor riders and a few have told me they are --Jumping Ship to the new Husqvarna as it is more what they are looking for. Some mention the suspension set up etc--Going to be interesting. About two years ago all we would see on the podium were ORANGE --Now things have changed Have some Huskies up there and some Jap bike --

I for one give them the Thumbs up --sure the new Husqvarna's WILL be what many of us will be riding --

As much as I love my 08 610, these new Bikes make it look like a Dinosaur. It will be nice to see them in the flesh.

Can't this one post remain clean and informational about the new bikes?? I mean, hasn't it been like 6-9 months since the sale happened? Surely that's enough time to get all the whining and butthurt over with? Now, if one of you is riding a 1985 TX510 and wants to complain about Husky not being Husky then maybe you have something. I'll spare you my feelings on the good/bad otherwise because the deal is done, over with. And quite frankly the whole downer angle is just plain BORING at this point because it's all been said and certainly is a horse that doesn't need to be dragged dead into every freaking thread.

Don't freaking buy one.

Hi Mark, Close I ride a 1987 TX 510, so I guess I can whine away.
