As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
This. The whole thing is a mess. There will be two 2014 models this year. One that is the left over Husky's with new graphics and the other the re-branded Husabergs.![]()
I say mostly white with some blue for 2014s and I only mean the non-Varese models...ehem..you know, the Husabergs by October. After that I am speculating on speculation haha. What is your position, All Red, All Blue? Something else. To clarify, my bet is that we will see some early 2014 VIN 2-strokes that are visually refreshed 2013 2-strokes. I say this because Halls claims to have one.... Later we will see visually refreshed (and maybe a bit more) Husabergavanas..... 2014.5s, if you will, but it would not surprise me if they are early 2015 VINs.
There really is a plan and there is no cause for alarm. But as Bill stated earlier, there is only so much information that we are allowed to publicize and what I have posted above is my best explanation of the current events.
Hussybergavarnas.Qvarnabergs... Huskybergs...Bergahusqs...Husahusqs.

They are all setup for enduro style riding, many with very wide ratio transmissions. They may look like their orange counterparts, but they ride differently. They may not do so well over the triple jumps, but they rail around flat corners like nothing I have seen before. They are very well made, with many billet parts which are normally castings. As long as they make a 2 stroke bike for a 6'6" 210 lb old man that likes enduro/trials I won't care what color it is or what they name it.
