• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your vintage Husqvarna bikes!

Nice. I have a '70 400. John at vintage Husky built my motor and said 50:1 is fine. I run Yamaha Lube with 92 octane pump gas and have never had any issues.

I like the blue shrouds better than black, did you paint or buy them? I have a 85 wrx 250 with black shrouds and I would love to make mine street legal one day too. Its just getting nice to ride here it is hard to believe that your season is ending and ours is just starting.

Was on ebay 1 day and saw them, NOS Maier racing parts. Made in blue plastic. $20
I really like the change too.
I was out today and it was a few degrees above the freezing point, and snow on the way tomorrow :(

it was 32 degrees C here and raging thunderstorms but only 8mm of rain:( time to park the bike up cos its too hot!

there must be a nice spot somewhere where its 20 degrees all year and rains at night:D

Brothers from a different mother...some 30 years apart.
I raced both over the weekend, the AE500 on the grass track Sunday, but it was changing gears a little too early for me so I reverted back to the WR300.
Fun though!

I work in Bridgewater but do not do business there. I will check them out. Obviously you won't race this one but do you have a vintage race bike to race with us next season?
