• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I recently picked up this 1980 CR390. Does anyone recognize this pipe? It resembles the CR250 pipe only bigger. OR or WR, I dunno. When this picture was taken the pipe wasn't mounted just sitting there. I mounted it up and it fits fine, just doesn't look like the typical CR pipe. Any help would be appreciated. - VintageMX

That is one of the highly sought after Asche/Uptite pipes. Taken me years to find the ones i have. Looks to be in good shape too. Nice find.

Hey where did you get the Titanium axles at?

I have a 1981 430 CR and would like to get a rear axle for it.
Thanks,
Darrell

Highdez.... are you sure that this belongs in this thread? Titanium axles?

If you have any questions PM me.

81 430 XC. Traded a nitro monster truck that I didn't want anymore for it ;) This bike grew up around here, heck the original owners son and my son are best friends!!

It has a Preston Petty headlight, not sure what the taillight is, and a bracket for a whip (flag), so I'm pretty sure its been to Little Sahara at Waynoka, Ok. a time or two.

Current plans are to get the engine running right, rebuild the suspension, recover the seat and put some miles on it next summer.

I'm not really into naming bikes, but...when I went to look at her, she said "Hi!! My name is Inga! Can I come home with you?" How can you say no to that? "Sure honey, hop in my pickup, I'll give you a lift"

Is this the stock pipe? With welded on heat guard?

Great pics! Can you post up a pic of the pipe and any more details that you know about it?
