• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your vintage Husqvarna bikes!

I grew up in south Florida. I know what he meant by primates, was laughing when I read it. Used to ride my Husqvarna where they built the Panthers Hockey Stadium. Could ride there from my parent's house. Now it seems there is no place to go unless you pay admission.

Troublemaker, that's what i like to hear. EVERYBODY GETS WHAT THEY DESERVE. it took 4 years to get paid back for the impound fee and the damage caused from getting stolen. the 2 PRIMATES that swiped mine where underage 16 & 17 and couldnt be tried as adults. they were linked to a bunch of other thefts in a 15 mile radious of where i live. glad you got your scoot back. hopefully no damage.

Thanks guy's,my A/F honda cr500 is still out there

Very clean husky. Love the forks I'm looking to do the same. I hope your craigslist purchase goes horribly wrong for the seller!

Beautiful bikes :)

General tech tip regarding Cafe Husky. If you are addressing an individual person or post, clicking on the 'Reply' button works a bit better than simply typing their name. Then the person you are addressing will get an 'alert' when they next log into cafe husky. :)

Here is the reply button I would use to quote the above post, which would send an alert to the person above when they next logged in.

VERY NICE BIKE! I am looking for the frame color and the motor and pipe color

Thanks, I love that bike. The sound and the way it starts and runs with that Bing carb. :}

Have no clue on the tank, but for the frame i use Duplicolor aluminium and their clear coat its an engine paint. For the Black on the pipe and cases i use the same brand and its called low gloss black, no clear coat.

It dont burn and it will be safe with gas spillage.

I put the Ohlins forks on today, buzzed around my property a little bit. They seem very plush.I have not been able to ride in a while due to all the rain we have had in the last month. We are planing on riding tomorrow but if it rains I'm putting the 500xc engine together,I got the freshly bored jug back today too.
