So 76 for a jersey??
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

WoodsChick;23609 said:Yeah, the pro jersey with all the stuff on it...apparently. And don't forget "plus shipping." Lord knows what shipping could cost. And that's just a jersey...what do the pants cost??
I'll need better info on sizes before I cough up that kinda dough...

These are all excluding VAT and the exchange rate today is $1.40:£1.00 so the adult race shirt is 70 bucks for example. If with this pricing there is still interest in a bulk buy we can probably arrange a group discount of 20-25% for the order but I realise it still makes this gear expensive.

mrkartoom;23494 said:I'm waiting to hear back if this is indeed the gear that Husky Sport can get for us. I sent them a pic of the jersey. I'd be glad to try and organize a group buy, unless this is something that Coffee would want to get involved with. I'm also not sure yet about the sizing of this stuff, assuming if it's Euro sizing it would be smaller than what we are familiar with. I'd hate to spend a bunch of money on something that I can't wear, so I want to get that right. I'll make the sizing inquiry as well. Chime in if you have any ideas on this.
Huskys4Life;23696 said:To clear up the sizing of this stuff. Pro Grip is made in Italy and runs really small as does UFO and Acerbis gear. They use a weird euro sizing. If you wear an XL you will need to go up at least 1 size if not 2. Same goes for the pants, if you wear a 34 waist you may want to go to 36.
IMO , this gear is top notch and compares with the best stuff from Moose, Fox or Thor. To me it is worth it to spend a little extra on some top quality gear that nobody else will have!
I bought a few Aprilia items from the UK and there was no duty, but that was like 2 years ago. I'm thinking no for these types of goods. My experience with shipping costs was that it was not too bad at all.davep01;23687 said:Just a thought - when we buy anything from US and bring into UK we have to pay 10% import duty - is there anything similar applied to US imports?
