• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I was wondering the same thing. You can get a lot of the progrip stuff through parts unlimited so I've been told. Having the progrip gear with the Husky logo on it might be a breach of contract with Husqvarna and progrip. You might actually have to be a Husky dealer to sell the progrip Husky stuff:excuseme:

We don't have them yet, working on the order. Prices are not solidified but similar tot he Sinasalo gear we sell now. Never an issue returning it if it does not fit.
Have we determined how the sizing runs on this stuff yet? I'm thinking I'd be in for a jacket and the goggles for sure. Haven't decided on the jersey yet, but let us know before the order goes I may want one.

Those distributors only sell to dealers and none of them have the husky gear !
+1

goggles yes. gear no.

I did contact bikebandit and they tell me it is US sizing. They list pants at US sizes anyway. Not sure about this Husky stuff though.

Kelly, lots of people are wondering if it is the Team Stuff or just regular red/white Progrip gear?

Team stuff I am into. Regular stuff not so much.

It is hard to beleive how far this topic has gone .Also hard to beleive so many of us are willing to pay money to wear gear that says Husky
Like i said i have been working on this for months and as of yesterday all roads were dead ends.I did talk to Husky direct and now understand it is not that easy but maybe some day No problem i now understand
As for the distributor called Van Leeuween he is near LA was told
gear is for the factory teams only
Also worked with main USA rep and he was very nice and also was not able to come thru
Email pro grip europe direct and got a responce no luck
Talked to Eraldo at FBF because he has freinds back in the mothereland
but that also did not work out

Maybe someday all good things take time

He seems to be dodging this thread. Looks like you better stick with davep01 for the factory gear.

 I just posted about it yesterday**************************************** Did not know you all would be rushing the doors. We are set up I am just trying to get a feel for what people want so we can make an intelligent order. Thanks for the input.

Was thinking.......(Uh-Oh..could be dangerous) as I have done much garment printing. Those are sublimated prints (The jerseys that is). Made by rinting on the material before they are assembled. Most dont make their own and "sub" it out to be done, often Malaysia, etc. (Yeah.check the tags) I have gotten sports jerseys done like this for friends teams and such and is not cheap but not 70 a shirt either. I could get some estimates on price and time to get done but don't want to open a pandoras box that is bickering over design and such. I could easilt put up some prototypes and if they aren't cost prohibitive, most popular could be done. Remember, what works for MOSt but not you is what the goal is and that would be the terms. Also, must be sure to "tweek" just enough from any copyrighted stuff so the "Husky Police" don't come down on me/us like Harley, Orange County Choppers, or a bands promoters at a concert on "bootlg" garment sales. Personally I like the team pattern minus most of the logos and the "lizardskin" navel area, but he other is nice too..maybe a hybrid with just a couple of logos on chest (i.e. Motosportz, 7602, LTR, A.C.E. Uptite or whatever)

Got you to post, didn't I? ;)

Now that I've got your attention, is this the stuff that davep01 pictured, or the standard ProGrip gear?

Sorry for delay in responding, week hasn't gone to plan...

We are pretty much good to go with a bulk order deal from the UK however I've PM'd Kelly to see if he can get the same gear from Pro Grip USA. If he can then it makes sense for him to handle it in the US as it will be much easier for shipping, returns etc.

Apparently the Enduro jacket isn't yet available - the factory are quoting mid April so if we are shipping from UK we'd have to make a decision on whether we part ship or hold the whole lot for a couple of weeks to include the jackets also.

Once I've made contact with Kelly then I guess one of us will update the thread with the next step.

Dave
