• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

We've got another GasGas 300 in the garage for him to ride. Remind him of that, will ya?

I don't have to remind him of that GasGas, he talks about that bike allot. I think that one is at the top of his wish list.

Did Craig show you this picture?

I think he forgot to show me that one........I wonder why?

Did he tell you how much psi he had in his tires that day?

He's mentioned it. I forget the exact pressure but I remember it was pretty damn low.

The first picture you posted was the one that I was referring to and I still don't see a trail in there. I can't imagine riding 100 miles in that stuff! Your last picture in the snow is a great shot.

Hello , names Barry. Dont have a Husky yet , but I'm working on it , waiting patiently for the 09's to get to Scott's.

Just found out about this site

Hi, I just found out about this site for the Husky Huggin type of folks that I think there should be more of.

I live in San Diego County and I have a 2007 TE450 that I named Trajan (the good emperor). I ride that and some other bikes with friends in SDAR dual sport club down here. Our club is overrun with DRZ' and those orange bikes, but a few of us have Husqvarnas and we will spread the good word about their virtues. Glad to have been pointed to this website.

Yes it is, I hope this one isn't as scary as our moderator.

Going back to cower in my corner again.

 Hey! Cut it out, man, or before you know it the other natives here are going to get restless, too!

And there's no need to cower, Rajo; a simple sweeping bow to the Goddess shall suffice;)

Hiya racer815,...and ditto WoodsChick's welcome!

I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my new '09 WR300. I see you're from Gawga,...ever ridden that WR250 at Durhamtown Plantation?
I've been wanting to make the trip down from 'Tucky to ride DP for
quite a while now. I've got family in Atlanta.

Rusty2,

Never been to DP. My main riding area is Highland Park in Cedartown. The trail variety/difficulty can be as challenging as you want.

Riding a Husky in Petaluma, CA

I'm the proud new father of a SM610R and although I have had left kickers in the past it has been a long time since my last Husky. I'm a reformed Harley rider that again rides for fun not show. I know most of you guys like dirt and I do too but this whole supermoto thing just makes my heart race. I remember about 20 years ago when I put street tires on my XL350 and they called me crazy. I started blowing away the "street bikes" on the road to the beach everyday and no one could ever figure out why.

Be fast, safe and lucky.

Welcome, ripcityracing!

I know what you mean about the whole SM/heart racing thing. I've owned my last sportbike, that's for sure! I used to do the Sunday Morning Ride about 20 years ago and there were always a few old-timer regulars that would kick my butt on their XL500's and whatnot. It took me awhile to catch up, but I've been riding plated dirtbikes on the street for about 8 years now. Whee!!!:D
