• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey Guys.

Great site you have here.
Dont get to ride as much as I would like right now, but that should change as my boys get older.
Ive got a 07 TE450 and love it.
Do most of my ridding here in the NW, and enjoy posting ride reports from my adventures.
Ive been a professional photographer for about 15 years now, so if anyone is looking for advice on cameras for photo stuff, I would be glad to help out.
Hope to see some of you guys out on the trails

Dave
Nice to see a lot of the "regulars" over on this SITE. Looking forward to seeing more of your awesome photos.

Hey all,
Just stumbled my way over here via some circuitous links from TT to Motosportz and then spotted those tires (that front especially looks like it might be a good ice tire) so here I am...

Unfortunately the only Husky I can claim at the moment is a '91 610 wxe whose future is as yet undetermined. To date I have only been playing with it on the ice. I did get a lot of help reviving the 610 from some familiar names I recognize from TT. Thanks for that.

I rode MX on Huskys back in the early '70s so still have a fondness for the brand. Just got back into dirt bikes about a year ago so I've got a lot of catching up to do...

I was lured to a GasGas by a "way too good to pass up deal" on a '05 MC250 so that is my current dirt ride.

Good to see this seems to be a very active board.

Welcome to CafeHusky, rpduc:cheers:

I only have one Husky in my garage (a very dirty `07 SM610) but it is kept company by 3 GasGases:D The Spaniards make great 2-strokes, don't they?

Nothin' finer than a European bike made specifically for woods riding. Much better than trying to make a Japanese MX'er fit the bill. Don't ask me how I know...:D

Might this be the aforementioned KX?

Hello everyone. I would just like to say that I have long been a fan of Husqvarna motorcycles, and am glad to finally own one. Wish me luck in adapting to the four stroke, though I am not sure how much I will need

This looks like the site I'm looking for, calling all Husky riders in the north end? N.S.M.B.

Greetings to all.

Hi All...............A 1993 WXC 610 has just been bestowed unto me. It has a locked up con-rod (big-end), and roached piston skirts. I suspect it has a bad oil reed too. Anyway, I've always loved the look of this bike, and the P.O. just wanted it out of his garage, but didn't want it stripped.
Looking forward to getting it back in the desert.

Hello All,

Today I put deposit to a 08 TE250, but I do not know much about Husqvarna. I think I will initially need the following parts. Do you know where I can get them? I am in Toronto, Canada.
- Lowered/adjustable pegs
- Bar riser
- Skid plate
- Rack and bag
- Detailed service manual
- Aftermarket plastics?
- maybe sprockets

Power-up kit is already there. Is there any other common mod I should consider?

Thanks,

This place is the motherlode of Husky knowledge so I'm sure getting your 610 back together will go smoothly. Good luck with it and be sure to post up some photos in the "Pictures of your bike" thread:thumbsup:

And congratulations on the purchase of your new Husky:applause:

You might want to take a look at this thread for aftermarket items...

Also, if you post up your questions in the tech forums (the 4-stroke forum, maybe?) you will get a quicker and better response:thumbsup:
