• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Welcome to the forum! Introduce yourself here!

Great site, evo/vintage racer here. I have had in last few years a '82 250CR and '82 1/2 500CR Silver Bullet. Longtime Bultaco freak and have always admired the Huskys. Currently have a '75 Bultaco 200 Pursang , '79 Honda CR250, '83 Honda CR480 and '92 Honda CR500. Thanks for letting me in and hope to add a '83-'84 Husky soon.

Wow...that's quite a stable you've got there. I think you're going to feel right at home in HuskyT's Vintage forum:thumbsup:

New to the fourm and would just like to say hi to everyone. I like to ride both street and dirt. You can tell by my handle what I ride on the dirt, and my street bike is a 08 FZ1. I've owned a lot of dirt bikes, but I'd have to say my TE610 is the best all around motorcycle I ever owned. Some friends and I are in planning a Death Valley trip for the end of March (first extended trip for the Husky) and I know it will run flawlessly. Looking fowarded to exchanging ideas and witty banter with everyone on the site.

Hi, TE610MOKE! Welcome to Cafe Husky:cheers:

I hear you on the great versatility of the TE610. I, too, am a street and dirt rider. I have an `07 SM610 that sees more dirt than street
and it is the most fun bike I've ever owned, street or dirt! I just commuted into San Francisco on it this morning and it's incredible how much it adds to the quality of my day:thumbsup:

Hi Husky people.

A little background on how I got to this forum. Like most of you I read the article on Dirtbike.com written by Scott Summers called My Husky and Me. I was so impressed by this article and Scott himself I started looking up everything I could on Husky bikes. His info is priceless for a offroad rider and racer. I felt like I was cheating just reading it!

I currently ride a YZ250 and a CRF450X. I race a local Arizona offroad series called AMRA.

I am really excited about what I am reading both on the history of Husky and the new 09 bikes coming out. I am lusting after a 450 or 510 TE. We have an excellent BMW dealership in town who will hopefully be putting Husky's on the showroom floor soon. With that and the Husky Bucks I am ready to sell both my bikes for a chance to own a new Husky.

I am a forum junkie and really like what I see here at CafeHusky. Looking forward to becoming a legit Husky fan and a getting to know my fellow Husky fans.

G'day,

Im Stu. Im from Adelaide South Australia.

I ride a 2006 Husky TE610E. I do enduro's on it and also ride to work on it. Fantastic all round bike with a great engine design and wicked power. A bit heavy but that can be and advantage sometimes. I have a 20L IMS tank for it too.

I look forward to reading and contributing to this forum.

Cheers
