• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yeah some people reckon I'm a bit :bonk: but for big 50 - 100k loops its great as long as they are not too technical.

Thanks for the welcome!

Nice site

OK I admit to the KTM addiction (07 525 EXC in my barn) but I ride with a bunch of Husky fellas and even got towed out of the woods by a TE 610 last fall when my bike croaked.

Have lots of Husky buddies in the Seattle area and if you don't know already, there's a classy shop up there called Tasky's Metric Cycle. Very sharp guys who are also enthusiastic Husky promoters.

I'm the designer and creator of the Giant Loop Saddlebag which, by no coincidence, works great on Husky's! www.giantloopmoto.com

Looking forward to posting ride reports on your site as soon as I get my motor back and the ground thaws a little bit.

Hi, squids leap:cheers: Welcome to CafeHusky!

Sportbikes can go in the dirt, too, you just gotta be a bit more careful. Don't ask me how I know:busted:

I'll be meeting you soon in Baja. I'll be the short redhead on the SM610:lol:

Hello, just sold 08 te 450 and got a 09 TC 450 which is in Enduro trim. Fell out with fuel pumps and stuff and fancied carbs and less wires.

Congrats on the new WR125! Quite a bit different from a GG300, that's for sure:) Good luck in the upcoming enduro series, and do the Husky proud:thumbsup:

Hey all,

Newb to Cafe Husky here. My name is John, but most of my friends call me "JW". JW is one of those family nicknames that one of your uncles gives you when your itty bitty and it just sticks with you.

I'm a Photographer who has over 15 years expierence in various subject matters, but none has been more enjoyable to shoot for me then District 37 Desert Racing. I also race some too. The last year has been mainly enduros.

I had some photos of Nick Burson from the Jackrabbits Hare and Hound I wanted to share with everyone. So as soon as my post gets approved I will share them with you.

Thanks!

Hi All
Thank you for letting me in, My ride is a TE250 with a lot of add on's, I like to work/fuss with it as much as I like to ride. I live in SO CAL and ride local fire service roads and open desert with my boys.

Thanks

If you're in SoCal, you might want to check in on the Baja Husky Ride thread. We'll be riding down there this coming weekend:thumbsup:
