As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Thats a good deal, good luck.
Hows that pvl working for it i heard theyre a nightmare to set up.
Reviving an old thread here. 2Premo, can you tell me what year and model bike you took the Brembo master cylinder from to add to your '93s front brake? The front brake on my '93 is a little spongy and I am thinking of upgrading the master cylinder like you did.
Also, could anyone direct me to what the Wallybeans airboot mod is?
Thanks!
Can any of you 360 gurus tell me what the Wallybeans airboot mod is? I did a search, without success..
It was a few years ago now but I took mine down to .55 if I remember correctly.
Your issue may just be a set of rings.
The 360 doesn't actually have high compression when freshthink mine was 150 psi
But 120 sounds low.
I will do a search for my squish clearance thread.
There you go Brian bush

I did a compression reading on my 360 last week and sure enough, I think my hard starting is due to low compression - about 120psi. It will only start with the throttle wide open. I had originally been thinking that the pilot circuit needed to be cleaned and that was causing the hard starting but after inspection, the carb looked spotless when I took it apart for a cleaning. I thought it kicked over much easier than most of my other bikes, so that probably should have clued me in right off. Since I am going to need to do a new top-end, I am wondering if any of you can comment on what a good squish clearance might be on the 360? I've read that a few members have played with theirs but haven't read any results of those efforts. The recommended squish clearance of 2.6mm (.102") listed in the manual seems kind of large to me based on the other bikes I have done squish mods on (2 KTM 300's)..
Off the top of my head, I was thinking maybe .060" to .070" would be a good squish clearance to get a little more bottom-end boost. I'd like to be able to run on premium pump gas and not have to run race gas. Any thoughts on this guys?
Ya Juicypips, the cylinder liner looks good. Cross hatching still noticeable. Maybe I just need a new set of rings or perhaps a piston and rings (I haven't taken the cylinder off yet to inspect the piston, just inspected the cylinder by moving the piston to bottom dead center). Should know more soon.. By the way, does your bike run well on premium pump gas with the 0.55" squish clearance? My KTM 300's do at 0.55" squish but then again, this is a different animal.. Many thanks!
