• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husky Trip to the Tip

I was down to see George yesterday to drop off my 610 for the power up kit. I had the opportunity to meet most of the guys going to Baja, some of them I have meet in the past, some I have never met other than through the Internet but it never ceases to amaze me how nice other Husky owners are. My boys Matt (10) and Justin (5) were with me it wasn't 30 minutes and Matt was belted in the 5 points in Mikes truck, Matt was enthralled with the interior roll cage and now thinks we need to take back my foreman's F350 and trick it out (Matt thinks I can just run out and buy him a new truck LOL). All and all I think it will be a great trip and fun will be had by all.

PS: If there are any needs I am only about 1 hour east of Uptite and have some equipment, storage free dinner. shoot me a pm

I think so. The only truck that looked like his was box-less.

Yes the box is off his truck.

Looks like they had a 2 hour layover this afternoon, and they have spent while at cocos, any chance they may stay overnight at cocos?

Didn't see many sub zero sleeping bags packed??? Would have gone back to Alfonsinas they have 8 rooms and we know how the food is. Later George

Nice place!

I recall someone leaving a cafe husky sticker on the wall with all the other stickers.

Yes the quite probably had mechanical issues, tube? And it is possible that they were helping Coco with something. They do seem to be going really fast down the paved highway. And it looks like they just got onto the dirt road towards the bay of LA which is not terrible, but not freshly paved either. George took me down that road in Mikes truck

It also appears they have entered what the SPOT thinks in the next time zone over - Mountain time zone?
