Yes, It was a significant waste of good tequila. I on the other hand revelled in the tequila pool.....well until the mayonaise ruined it.
The sagemobile blocking out the view of Kellys camp Kellys camp and anonymous 2-stroke redbike rider Sonny dropped in from Denmark to visit Kellys place at Camp II with Jake and Shane (and a big thanks to Shane for loaning me some Oakleys) Entrance to Camp II with the Willamette Valley guys on the left Buncha redbikes just off the trail SkepticSkeptic and some anonymous dudes hanging out around the fire.
It was great to meet everyone. I second the comments about it being busy out here. I rode the whole Chelseas challenge loop today and only saw 3 other bikes all day. We ran across one huge group on Saturday of probably 20-25 riders. I had a couple close calls but luckily no crashes. I did drop my 610 twice yesterday the second one ripped my probend handguard off along with a turn signal and crunched my license plate. Too bad you left early Lonnie I was looking forward to riding with you.. My bike runs a lot better when it has gas in it
....and I need to get him his goggles returned or at least pay him something for them. They were just what I needed when I took the 300 out in the afternoon.
Sounds like I missed a very good time. I'm enjoying all the pics and story's. Sorry to hear about Kelly and Jeff and any others that got hurt ,bent, broken or...sick... I'm sure this thread will live on for awhile and looking forward to all the others posts and pictures.
Hey, I'm comfortable going 90 on the freeway, it's still wrong. At least in that case I'm only rebelling against 'the man' not man law. Got to Greg's pretty early, and got his txc, MOST of my dedd 610 and his 510. We rolled into bend a few hours later. I rest my case; sooooo guilty The focus is prolly because my strawberry margarita was much more 'manly' The next morning we got to meet most of the gang Here's woodschick, Les from LTR, Ioneater and thesandman SepticSkeptic rolled up a bit later, and almost immediately women were asking him for his tools. I didn't take a single ride picture, because I'd forgotten my point and shoot, and since I was on Greg's 510 I didn't bring my tank bag to stow the SLR But it was EXHAUSTING !! It was several hours of being in a bobsled. Perfect banked turns, and just FUN FUN FUN! intersperesed with a couple of knarly lava fields. watching septic negotiate the rock steps on the 610 made me really appreciate being on a sweet 510 with a rekluse.!!! You can just see BrandonR's dog fritz eyeballing that apple on the right... But his attack was foiled when the victim noticed right before he pounced. Luckily the victim decided to share Oregonrider made the mistake of trying to throw away the core, and Fritz ATTACKED I missed the shot, but Oregonrider damned near lost a finger or five. Walt got to test ride another bike (he found his way back though) As soon as the sun went down it got bite assed cold, so we split and went to Bend Brewing Co for a great dinner and some barley pops. The next day I decided I had to get at least one picture on the trail so I got out the iPhone for this one of ioneater The iphone missed the next shot, so I guess it never happened. A few other riders came the other way, so there was a huge audience waiting for me to make the climb. I started thinking about how much it would suck to crash ioneater's bike right in front of him and I got massive stage fright. It was weird but it really got into my head and I kinda had a little panic attack or something. I made it up the hill only because it was a kick-ass bike with a rekluse. I was totally shaking and then I played it cool like I totally meant to do that (nope!) Ioneater cut his tire pretty bad in the lava rocks, and so we called it a day pretty early Sunday. Since he had to go slow, I took the opportunity to 'test' the 510. It wheelies in third... REAL GOOD On the way home the trailer popped off @ about 50 Thankfully ONE of the chains held and we didn't have a three bike garage sale. By far the most excitement I had all weekend
The next day I decided I had to get at least one picture on the trail so I got out the iPhone for this one Ya don't remember what trail that was do ya ? Don't think we hit that one...
I sure met a lot of nice people on this trip, especially Les & Oregon rider. Had fun riding too. You and your family are awesome. Especially your generosity.
It was 45, it was fun but 38 was MUCH harder. We went South to North on both which I think is the more challenging way to go probably.
Don't forget the Hot Tub! and the Brew Pubs! and the Heated Pool ! and the Maid service ! and the Hot showers ! Ok I'm done now....

Just because the directions explicitely say not to inflate to more than 110 PSI doesn't mean that 130 won't work......at least for a while.
It's not on my husky, but its the first cool footage I've come across. Will post more as I find and upload it. http://www.vimeo.com/16014295
