• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

MV Agusta/Cagiva gave us this....

Man did I follow the "500" mx season that year.... at the beginning so many jokes about the 4 stroke going up against Honda CR500 (Hanson) KX500, KTM 500MX. until Jacky started winning on that weird Italian evolved Swede grandfathered beast. OK back to prototypes.......styling exercises.....nah

The rear fender looks like the 2008 300/450/530 on steroids... same design just bigger. It was short lived on the enduros. Someone needs to tell the guy that invented that design to GET OVER IT already.

This is a picture of an Indian fakir (no rude jokes please!) on the last bike (a Puch) made in Austria before they started making Kayteebooms.

My first reaction, to the little picture on my phone was.... Ugh! I think it's redeemable though. Wish I could photoshop, that picture. A high front SM fender, a contrasting seat and some minimal graphics would make the bike look more balanced. You can't put the minimalist dirt track front end and massive monochrome seat/ haunches together and make it work.

Cool! Some blue fork guards and it's '94 all over again. A little homage to Cagiva Huskys! Okay, you're hired. Now you need to fix the "big" side.....

Looks great. How KTM could have looked at that mess and called it done when a few colors and parts shelf parts would have made it look a million times better. In the end I think they want it to be fugly, look how much we are talking about it. Had they shown what you did here we all would have been like Meh, looks nice but is just a 690 and been done talking about it. I don't pretend to understand what might have happened for them to release that on the show but it must be something like this or they are all blind.
