• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your vintage Husqvarna bikes!

81 XC 430 My new toy comes home.......

Just a few quick pics with more to follow. Hope this works as I am a new Mac owner and getting pics to attach was a lot of work........

XC is a little worn but will clean up nice. For now I plan on riding this bike with a make over coming this winter. Work will keep me off it for a few more weeks so I have time to clean and prep it before my first ride.

Bike came with a few cool spare parts. Two MSP skid plates and a MSP desert tank. Also had a new filter and new rear tire.

Very nice, Mr. Fleet.
The CR250 looks good, too (although maybe a bit sad seeing as the 430's getting all the attention).

RIDE REPORT!!!

Picklito, 250 got most of the attention yesterday, read my 250 primary gearing thread! 430 work was "therepy" after that. O-yah, put new fenders on 10yr old daughters TTR-125.

Gday fellas,
Here is my 81 420 AXC I bought it new in the year she has been a great bike and like all long term relationships we have had our good and bad times:banghead: but I have never sold her, I have raced this bike for years in the 80's and never did like the 3spd 430 compaired to the 4spd 420 I have changed a few things lights gaurds and fitted a DL shoe front brake of an IT 425 but the basic bike is still the same.
Gasitt!
